    Coeliac disease and wheat sensitivity
  • Does old age have to be horrible?
We all know that life isn't fair. A person who eats healthily, does yoga and takes lots of exercise may die an early and painful death while a heavy-drinking smoker who takes no exercise and eats junk food may die in their sleep at 100.

contribution to illness and unnecessary hospitalisation.

New Recipes

  • Fillets of Cod with Chilli
Wheat, gluten, corn, dairy, soya, egg & nut free
This is a very simple dish but looks - and tastes - really good. The fieriness of the chillis goes well with the ‘cool’ flavour of the fish - but you need to be careful not to overdo them!

  • Anna's Minestrone
Wheat, gluten, corn, soya, nut & egg free; can be dairy free

Anna del Conte is the ultimate Italian food writer - encylopaedically knowledgeable, a wonderful cook - and the most lovely person. So, when I wanted a recipe for minestrone, where else would I turn?
This recipe below came originally from her
Secrets from an Italian Kitchen but has re-appeared in Amaretto, Apple Cake and Artichokes, Vintage Books’ recent compendium of her earlier works. Followed to the letter, it makes the most delicious minestrone in the world.

  • Orange and Lemon Mousse/Fool
Wheat, gluten, dairy & egg free; can be corn, nightshade and soya free
A very simple little dessert which gets quite close to a mousse even though it does not contain any eggs. You can make it with lemon juice, orange juice or a mixture of the two.
