A new iPhone app (application) has been developed by Foodwiz that enables those suffering from allergies to scan any item bought from either Asda or Tesco, and find out exactly what allergens might be lurking within. After downloading the app you can enter your ‘lifestyle choices’, such as being allergic to wheat or milk, and once you point your camera at the barcode the app will take into consideration all ingredient information, and tell you whether the product is safe for you to eat.
