Did anyone read an article in the Ecologist about Calopol?
It is saying that some research published in the Lancet reckoned that here was a link between taking paracetamol in childhood and asthma (I think I have read something about that in one of the other forums) – and that Calpol is, basically, paracetamol with loads of sugar and pink colouring added!
It also says that it is not always a good idea to stop children having a temperature (and Calpol is usually used to bring temperatures down) as having a temperature is the body’s way of dealing with an infection.
And… that Calpol is filled with all kinds of other additives with bad E numbers..
If anyone wants to read the article you can find it at http://www.theecologist.org/green_green_living/behind_the_label/346400/behind_the_label_calpol.html
