At long last - and sparked by Michelle's new article on fructose - I have come to my conclusions. I have posted about it if you like to check it out as it is a bit of a long one: Agave - Healthy or Not?.

The short answer is, as usual, everything in moderation, no more than 1tsp of agave per day, cut your fruit juice down and vary your sweeteners.
