I remember reading an article by Micki Rose on the Skinsmatter site (just found it again) about how many creams can do more harm than good to the skin - and now I have just read the same in the Daily Telegraph!
Researchers have found that aqueous creams contain sodium lauryl sulphate which can thin the skin and cause irritation. Great!! Just what you need when you already have damaged and itchy skin!! I must admit that I had never found the aqueous creams helpful at all but I had thought it was just me until I read Micki's article - after which I started using the Green People products and my eczema certainly improved. Has anyone else had a similar experience? |

Just seen your post, Frances, about the Green People's products. I agree - I have always found them excellent. My eczema was never terrible - and was much better when I kept off dairy - but I did - and I do - love their stuff. Did you know that they were founded by a pharmacist, I think she was, whose daughter had terrible eczema? Anyow, I'd recommend them to anyone. They also have great tasting toothpaste!!!

Hi Frances, sorry to bump this old post. I also love Green peoples products and their products have done wonders for my eczema. I was brave recently and tried a new hand cream from a company called Alison Claire natural beauty, even though it is more expensive it does a great job. After checking the ingredients it contains no nasty chemical and is really soothing on my hands.
