Beware metal framed glasses....
A warning to other ES sufferers!
I wear reading glasses to work which have metal frames but there is no EM radiation in my study. When outside I usually carry those cheapo plastic framed magnifying glasses so that I can read what I need to.
A month ago I decided to finally bite the bullet and get some vari-focals that I could wear all the time – and got some with lovely light titanium frames. They proved to be lethal!
Although phone masts are obviously not great for me, it is low energy light bulbs and fluorescent lights that get to me most. So in most shops I actually hover round outside the door and the nice shop keepers come out and take my order (supermarket shopping is all done on the phone/internet).
After I collected my new glasses I went to do a bit of local shopping. I did not feel at all comfortable wearing them but assumed that was just getting used to the vari-focals – but when I arrived on the doorstep of the butchers, where I am usually fine, I got a strong reaction from their lights; likewise the chemist which was my next stop. By the time I got home I was feeling thoroughly ‘rayed’ which I hadn’t felt for months.
I immediately suspected the glasses and removed them – and after the statutory few hours recovery period, I was fine again…. Now I don’t know whether it was specifically the titanium or whether it would have been the same with any metal frame – but I am now awaiting the arrival of some plastic frames…..
