Hi –
Did anyone see the Guardian article about he cottage buried in the woods far from any form of mobile connection – and totally electric free?

It sounded absolutely wonderful for anyone electro sensitive – although it was designed as a mega green-eco cottage. However they give a list of other similar places at the end of the article.
For anyone thinking of holidaying in Ireland I have just spent a week there, staying at two hotels which were really helpful re ES – and allergies.
One was an old coaching inn south of Dublin, just outside Wicklow – Hunter’s Hotel (
http://www.hunters.ie/) which has been run by the same family for five generations and has the most lovely garden – and fantastic organic vegetable garden which supplies the restaurant. There were a few masts around but not very close (check out
http://www.askcomreg.ie/mobile/siteviewer.273.LE.asp to find where masts are in Ireland) and although the hotel did have wifi they put us in a room at the other end of the hotel from the hotspot where there was no signal at all.
The other was the most amazing early 19th century classical grey ‘pile’ in county Sligo (
http://www.templehouse.ie/) – in the middle of 1,000 acres of parkland (one single mast about 10 miles away…) on a lake with its own 12th century ruined castle in the grounds! It is owned by the Perceval family who have been there for a couple of hundred years. The current incumbent, Roderick, was amazingly helpful and understanding not only about my ES but about our various allergies. It was only later that I understood why when I discovered that his father has suffered from multiple chemical allergies (with food and electrical sensitivity as an add-on) for 15 years as a result of organophosphate poisoning from sheep dip.
They do have wifi but we had a room at the other end of the house from the wifi hotspot and whenever I was likely to be in its vicinity it was turned off for me. They also managed to provide us with three excellent meals to accommodate our range of allergies – which include sugar, dairy and nightshades. Yes imagine – in Ireland and no potatoes!! It was not cheap, but nothing in Ireland is – and if you are interested in birds, there was the most amazing eagles and bird of prey sanctuary more or less on the doorstep -

Anyone else got any holiday ideas so that I can start planning for next year?......
