Crobar is a gluten, dairy, soya and added sugar free, all natural energy bar which contains protein-rich cricket flour. Crickets are not only high in protein, but also iron, they contain all essential amino acids, and are also more sustainable to farm than conventional livestock, as they need far less water and land.
Our panel loved the stylish silver packaging but found the print a little tricky to read as it features grey text on silver! However we very much liked the two available flavours: Cacao & Chia and Peanut Crunch. The bars are not too sweet or squidgy, with no sticky mouthfeel. And we all rather enjoyed the thrill of remembering that we are eating nutritious insects!
