Honeyrose Carrot and Banana cakes and Walnut Brownies

Honeyrose's new cakes arrived in the Foods Matter office the other day and proved a very welcome addition to the morning coffee (iced oatmilk latte...) ritual.
All are, as are all Honeyrose's products, organic. The carrot cake is gluten and dairy free, the Banana cake and Brownies just gluten free. The carrot cake and brownies use brown rice, maize, buckwheat and tapioca flour; the banana cake brown rice, maize and tapioca flour; all include eggs.
All were really excellent - the banana cake slightly, yummily gooey and not over banana-ey (all too often the case); the carrot cake rather more textured with plenty of delicious juicy raisins. If you like soft and chewy brownies these are rich and delicious – although those who prefer their brownies lighter and chunker may prefer the carrot cake. In any case, you would never suspect any of them of being gluten free and all come highly recommended.
The two cakes cost £3.29 for a 300g 'loaf', the brownies £2.95 for 6 little brownies, 160g in total. Available from selected shops (email them for details) or by mail order direct from their site.
