Livwell new gluten-free bagels, ciabatta, English muffins and garlic and coriander naan breads

Livwell have just come out with four new gluten-free breads all of which are available both on prescription (for coeliacs) and in the shops. All are long- life so great to have in the store cupboard as well as for everyday eating.
The basic flour mix used for all is tapioca, rice and potato starch and they all include egg although none contain dairy products. Apart from the English muffins they all also use yeast – plus the usual collection of stablisers, humectants etc
The naan is great – a good texture and plenty of flavour (almost too much) from the garlic powder and coriander – but very good to go with any Indian dish. The ciabatta (known as a 'square dinner roll' if you are buying it on prescription) is nicely chewy and, although a bit solider than the 'real thing', is very pleasant and looks good.
The English muffins (known as 'toasting bread buns' on prescription) toast very well and would be delicious as the a base for an Eggs Benedict – or even just a bacon sarnie! The bagels (known as 'circle rolls' on prescription...) are a bit solid when compared to the original New York version, but no more so than many non-gluten-free bagels we have tasted in the past. But perfectly acceptable – especially if toasted (as they suggest) and filled with smoked salmon!
To buy in the shops, the naan will cost you £2.49 for 2 (from Waitrose or on line from www.gffdirect.co.uk); the English muffins £2.19 for 4 (from Waitrose or on line from www.gffdirect.co.uk); the bagels £2.15 for 2 (from Waitrose or on line from www.gffdirect.co.uk and very soon in Sainsbury's) and the ciabatta £2 for 2 on line from www.gffdirect.co.uk)
