Conclusions In this update of a large nationwide cohort study of mobile phone use, there were no increased risks of tumours of the central nervous system, providing little evidence for a causal association. Dr Allan Frey's very interesting letter to the BMJ suggesting that most of the epidemiological studies that have been done on mobile phone usage are worthless because they have, for example, lumped together 'car, bag and head' use of phones when estimating brain cancer risk.
