Amphetamines May Increase Hyperactivity

Amphetamines, such as the drug adderall, are popular for treating ADHD/hyperacivity in the USA Research on rats, showed that animals who had been given amphetamines over a six day period and who were then given sugar water become hyperactive whereas given sugar water did not, Researchers suggest that repeated doses of amphetamines will trigger an appetite for sugar, which will result in hyperactivity.
