Effects of prenatal exposure to mobile phone radiation

There have been a number of studies of the effect of prenatal exposure to mobile phone radiation, the most recent of which (Fetal Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure From 800-1900 Mhz-Rated Cellular Telephones Affects Neurodevelopment and Behavior in Mice – March 2012) suggests that the exposed mice exhibited hyperactive type symptoms not evident on non-exposed mice.

Earlier studies have suggested both that pre and post natal exposure to cell phone radiation is related to behavioural problems in young children (Cell phone use and behavioural problems in young children December 2012 and Prenatal and postnatal exposure to cell phone use and behavioral problems in children – July 2008) and that prenatal mobile phone use was not associated with developmental delays (Prenatal cell phone use and developmental milestone delays among infants – July 2011 and Prenatal exposure to cell phone use and neurodevelopment at 14 months – March 2010).

We await more research.
