Cancer in La Quinta Middle School in California – the research and comment

In 2003 the teachers at La Quinta, California middle school complained that they had more cancers than would be expected. A consultant for the school district denied that there was a problem.

In 2008 Dr Samuel Milham and Lloyd Morgan set up a study to investigate the cancer incidence among the teachers, concluding that the incidence in the teachers at the school was unusually high and was strongly associated with high frequency voltage transients, which may be a universal carcinogen, similar to ionizing radiation.
The results were published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine in 2008.

In January 2010 Michael Segell wrote a in depth evaluation of the research for MSNBC followed by a good assessment of the case against EMFs, a history of electromagnetic effects and of 'transients' or dirty electricity.
