Roast Chickpeas

Corn, egg, gluten, lactose, milk, nightshade, nut, peanut, sesame, soya & wheat free

This is so simple but really addictive. I just ate them as a snack but they would be tasty added to a salad or on top of soup. the-alt-name


  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • good pinch of sea salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / Gas mark 6.
  2. Drain the chickpeas and then dry them on a clean tea towel.
  3. Lightly oil a baking tray that has sides high enough to stop the chickpeas rolling off.
  4. Pour the chickpeas onto the tray and then spray or drizzle over some more oil.
  5. Salt the chickpeas and give the tray a good shake so that they are well oiled and salted.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until starting to crisp.
  7. Serve warm.
