Zinc helps you think

Research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that zinc may play an important role in learned behaviour.

Up till now, the role of zinc in the brain has remained a mystery. But researchers studying rats have found that the amount of zinc in the brain may be linked to memory acquisition - the more zinc, the more the memory is able to retain.

This also explains the exceedingly high concentrations of zinc in the amygdala, a region of the brain involved in learning.
