Is there a relationship between mobile phone use and semen quality?

Scientists form the Andrology Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Szeged, Hungary, took information from men in the University Clinic to determine the effect of mobile phone use on semen quality.

The 371 men included in the survey were asked about their mobile phone use habits, where they kept their phones, and how often and for how long they used their phones to make calls. They were also asked for semen samples, which were analysed using regular methods.

The results showed that the prolonged mobile phone use may have negative effects on sperm motility characteristics.
