Candida rising

Candida is now the fourth leading cause of all hospital-acquired blood stream infections in the USA, accounting for up to 11% of all infections.
In 1995, yeast was reported to be the fourth most common infection acquired in European intensive care units and is thought to be even more common today, although more recent data is lacking.

The vice-president of the Australian Podiatry Association revealed recently that fungal infections such as candida albicans and tinea are the most typical health problems resulting from unhygienic practices in nail treatment salons.
